Executive Presence

On paper you're the obvious choice; in the room you say a tenth of what you know. You watch less-prepared people take up space you've earned, then replay the meeting all evening with the lines you didn't deliver.

What changes

Where this work takes you

Presence isn't a personality transplant — it's a set of behaviours you can train. Over six months we rebuild how you enter rooms, hold silence, take questions and disagree upwards, with recorded rehearsals before the moments that matter. Quiet people don't need to become loud; they need to become unmissable.

This is a good fit if

  • You're stepping up to exec, board or partner level — or into the visibility that comes with it
  • Your ideas land when someone else presents them
  • High-stakes rooms make you smaller, and you're done accepting that

It's not the right fit if

  • You want someone to hand you answers or a script to hide behind — presence built on someone else's lines collapses under the first hard question
  • You're after a quick polish before a single event — this is behaviour change over a season, not a slide-deck review

How it unfolds

  1. Month one: the baseline

A 360° feedback debrief and a recorded baseline of you presenting and being challenged. We find the two or three behaviours doing the most damage.

  2. Months two to four: retrain

Weekly sessions on voice, structure, silence and pushback — each one drilled, recorded and rehearsed against your real calendar: the board paper, the town hall, the difficult conversation.

  3. Months five and six: pressure-test

Live rooms, real stakes, and sessions that debrief what actually happened rather than what we planned. Direct access between sessions for the time-critical moments.

Every session includes

  • Weekly 1:1 sessions
  • Email support between sessions
  • Recorded practice with playback
  • 360° feedback debrief
  • Boardroom and presentation rehearsals
  • Direct access between sessions for time-critical moments

Six months ago I dreaded the Monday exec meeting. Last week I chaired it. Nothing about my job changed — everything about how I show up did.

Asked before booking

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy looks back to heal; coaching looks forward to perform. We work on observable behaviours in real rooms, with drills and deadlines. If what surfaces along the way needs a therapist, I'll say so honestly and help you find one — that's happened, and it's a success, not a failure.

What's the time commitment?

Weekly sessions, plus rehearsal ahead of your real meetings. The practice ground is your actual diary — so most of the 'homework' is work you were doing anyway, done deliberately.

Why six months?

Because senior habits change on a season, not a sprint. Six weeks gets you a performance; six months makes it your default.
